Pumpkin Carving

I'm not sure who ever thought of this idea of carving faces in pumpkins, but I love the tradition. My kids enjoy it too. Even Daddy gets involved each year. The boys each chose their own design for their pumpkins this year and did them on their own (except Blake who required a little assistance). I think traditions are a great family-bonding experience and this is one for us! Here is what the boys created this year:

Those look great. We love pumpkin carving too. It reminds me of carving them with my dad when I was a kid. A great family tradition!!

Wow! I am not a fan of pumpkin carving. You're so great to get into the fun. I don't care much for the mess it makes and the goo on my hands isn't a treat either. I love painting the pumpkins, that's what I did when I was little too. Paint pens. I remember we used to line the hallways at school with our pumpkins.

Very cool! We have the same tradition. We should have gotten your Darth Vader pumpkin together with our Boba Fett pumpkin for a picture.

I admired your carvings outside your door. I didn't have the energy or patience for it thise year. We did the mini pumpkins- ha My poor kids got jipped, but we still got to roast & eat the seeds!
