Hotel Schimelpfening

The day before and the WEEK after our trip to Yosemite, our dear friends, The Schimelpfenings, let us stay in their beautiful home. What kind of friends do that?? Best friends!!

As usual, we had a terrific time and never wanted to leave.
The first evening we had a rare 'grown-ups only' night out with Margaret & Grant to a fun restaurant, Tokyo Garden. Alli came too, but we took advantage of the free in-house babysitting that the hotel offered for all the other kids. (Darren & Andrew) Don't worry, the hotel was still standing upon our return. If we had left Alli, there would be legitimate cause for concern. (she's naughty)

Alli enjoyed her first time using chopsticks, and surprisingly she LOVED shrimp!

Swimming is always a favorite past time at the Schimelpfening Hotel pool.

Dawn til dusk, these kids LOVE to play on the Hotel's own trampoline!

Another activity during the week was this new spray park near the hotel, with complimentary chauffeur service. (I had no vehicle while Jason was at Scout Camp a couple of the days). It was a nice relief on such a hot day! The kids had a blast!

They offered many other activities like:
sewing class, video games, and even some guidance in cleaning procedures:

Entertainment was also provided with a real live Magic Show!

Maid Service is often needed around the hotel and the carpet cleaner is always at the ready! (Sorry)

Another included benefit is their Doggie Day Care! Our little Holly had a vacation of her own! Along with her best friend Katie, these pups lived the good life!

Tokyo Garden: $60
Sewing Fabric: $10
Folex Carpet Cleaner: $15
A week at Hotel Schimelpfening with our best friends: PRICELESS!!!

So fun Nichole. You have great friends. I loved how you made this post into an ad for their "hotel". Very clever. Alli is so cute with her chopsticks. What a fun week to follow your fab week in Yosemite.

You're so cute, Nicole! Great post. And I love Alli's face in the picture with the blue stuff on the carpet (is it toothpaste?). I think she and Emma would get along great. Emma is such a naughty little twerp, and proud of it!

Nice post. I laughed! Here in Iowa we call those "spray parks" "splash pads"
Now what do you think of that?
Hee hee! We so corny.

Looks like tons of fun! Aren't the Schim's great?! At least you only had toothpaste on the carpet. We left something much more unpleasant!

Totally cute! Our "hotel" doesn't have all of those amenities, but you're welcome anytime! Did you guys ever go to Park City this summer? We just went to the Factory stores there a few weeks ago.

Yeah Heather.. there was another treat left on the carpet (from the diaper genie) but we're thinking it was Spencer.

Heather C. -We didn't go to Park City. It would have been last week and coming home today, as school starts tomorrow. It was just too much. I kind of wish we had. I would have loved to stop by your 'hotel.' We're not picky! Love your blog! Keep it up!

Can I book that "hotel" too?

We're horrible, I guess. We went to Disneyland last week, which happened to be the first week of school.

What good friends you guys have. Alli is definitely going to have to learn how to hold her own with all those boys. We miss you guys!
